Though times have changed, the West Woodland and Ballard neighborhoods have stood the test of time and are transforming from vintage industrial to sophisticated and modern.  Avenue 55 sought to pay homage to the industrial past of the West Woodland/Ballard neighborhood and set out to create a business center equal to that greatness.  The building itself is set upon the original site of Ness Cranes, a mobile crane service that was established
in 1947.
